About Enactus Laurier
Enactus is a community of entrepreneurial leaders who see business as a way to address social issues. It is one of the largest student leadership organizations in the world and has chapters on university and college campuses across the globe. Each teaches works to address the world’s most challenging social, environmental and economic issues.

In the process of establishing a social venture, assumptions are made about social issues and systematic solutions. Research specialists will work with Incubation teams to validate their business proposal and problem solution fit. Research specialists should enjoy conducting thorough research using both primary and secondary methods. They should be comfortable researching feasibility issues as well as broad topics relating to a variety of social issues.
Successful applicants will work closely with applicable teams as well as the VP Research. Training will be provided on your assigned enterprise and additional research training can be provided if needed. Skills and Requirements:
Knowledge of existing Enactus’ social enterprises
Comfortable working with large teams in a support role
Interested in gaining a better understanding of social issues
Comfortable understanding of United Nations Social Development Goals
Passionate about making a large social impact
Previous research experience through work or coursework preferred
Strong ability to gather and present data via Tableau or Excel or other methods of data analysis
Naturally curious and entrepreneurial
- Hours are typically between 5-10 hours per week depending on enterprise placement. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
