About Mighty Hawks
There are 800,000 people with a developmental disability in Canada alone. 50% of them are financially dependent and as low only 26% are employed. Most individuals with a developmental disability are eager to find meaningful employment but lack the resources to do so. Mighty Hawks is committed to working alongside people with developmental disabilities on their path to independence; supporting each individual’s personal, professional, and financial goals. We hold year-round weekly workshops covering a range of practical life and work relevant skills. We also offer paid work experience through our Work Readiness Program. We are providing opportunities to create a real impact in the lives of each individual and at Mighty Hawks we believe that a disability does not define the scope of one’s abilities.
